Norm Creation in Proposition Control Games

چکیده
In this paper we study how to create norms in games. We consider norms as deontic statements which are used to describe prescriptions made by certain randomized signals of which the usage is to guide agents’ behavior. Such randomized signals are implemented from correlated equilibria in games. Our proposal belongs to the offline norm creation approach [ST96]. Agents’ compliance and computational tractability have been identified as interesting problems to cope with in the offline norm creation approach. In this paper, four types of norms are studied: utilitarian norms, egalitarian norms, Nash product norms and opportunity-balanced norms. We show that in our framework all four types of norms can be created in polynomial time and all rational agents will comply with those norms.

Logic and Games for Ethical Agents in Normative Multi-agent Systems
In this paper we study how to characterize ethical agents in normative multi-agent systems. We adopt a proposition control game together with input/output logic. Norms create the normative status of strategies. Agents’ preference in proposition control games are changed by the normative status of strategies. We distinguish four ethical types of agents: moral, amoral, negatively impartial and po...

Background: Behavioral disorders in preschool children causes a lot of problems. They mainly use medical treatment to solve this problem. But this research looks for a non-pharmacological alternative through the educational games. Materials and Methods: Data were gathered through randomized controlled trial method by using unequal control group design with pre-post test plan. The sample includ...
متن کاملCommunitarian versus Universalistic Norms ∗
The celebration of communitarianism by political philosophers (Sandel, M. 1982 Liberalism and the Limits of Justice. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press) has apparently been extended to strategic analyses of ascriptively attuned norms (Fearon, J. and D. Laitin. 1996. “Explaining Interethnic Cooperation.” American Political Science Review 90: 715–735) — an intriguing development, given game th...
متن کاملContinuing Use of SNS Games for the Growth of Social Network Services
By using Social Network Services (SNSs) as platforms, game developers have gathered a huge user base, and the entertainment these games provide has further enlarged the SNS user base. However, there are signs that this symbiotic growth is slowing down. We developed a model and tested 14 hypotheses. Our main findings are: Although SNSs are “social,” “social norms” do not have much impact on the ...
متن کاملImpacts of Mothers’ Occupation Status and Parenting Styles on Levels of Self-Control, Addiction to Computer Games, and Educational Progress of Adolescents
Background: Addiction to computer (video) games in adolescents and its relationship with educational progress has recently attracted the attention of rearing and education experts as well as organizations and institutes involved in physical and mental health. The current research attempted to propose a structural model of the relationships between parenting styles, mothers’ occupation status, a...
